The Vegas Red Rooster was one of the first Swing clubs in the United States to have a public forum added to their web site for all to use and view.
We have now stepped up into the land of Twitter!
Ok, I have no idea what Twitter is really about but been seeing it on the new, TV and all the kids at school seem to be into it. Read their site and signed up the Vegas Red Rooster.
Well, if you are a Twitter or know a Twitter get them to come follow the Vegas Red Rooster in the Land of Tweeter!

See you there!

There are going to be some events, or event deals or contests that only the people using Twitter are going to end up knowing about. Things I am not going to put posters up at the Rooster about.
I have also decided something else. At times I am going to make special deals or hold events for people that have PROFILES here. Seems that people want to hook up but they leave the profiles blank. Who wants to hook up with a ghost? Not many that I know of.
We have decided that I will announce some events only to people that have profiles. They have to have some info on them including the town and state. Why announce to someone that is not local if it is a local type party? We have about 1000 people registered here and less then 300 profiles. Way to many trolls and ghosts.
Time to start rewarding the people that take the time to be right about this.

This would probably not even be woth counting, but do you know how many members are in Vegas? I know that a lot of the forum members are from out of town, as many of thr red rooster's visitors are from outside of Las Vegas. The tourists make the town move I live in So Cal but check the boards daily (even more as a trip to vegas gets closer) because I have made a lot of friends at the rooster and like to see what is going on with them and what's new at my favorite party place.

Here is how Twitter describes itself ...
Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
Go to the link Lee posted earlier .... http://twitter.com/VegasRedRooster ... and check it out .
It is easy to set up your own account and start tweeting.

Videoboy, I am sure the answer to how many are in Vegas is, not enough.
I tell people all the time about the web site and the forums and they do not know what I am talking about. The signage has been posted for many years, but people only see what they want to.
You cannot help those who won't help themselves.
I have not signed up for twitter yet, myself. so, who am I to talk.

So far have only managed to get about 40 people to sign up so guess it is not that big of deal for the Rooster crowd. We started out using it a lot but have not pushed it much since there did not seem to be any interest.

I think you should allow cell phones at the parties so that all can tweet what they are doing or about to do. They could also describe what the couple next to them is doing in exacting detail (sort of a sports reporter). :-) All of us at home would be able to live vicariously through the tweets & it would hasten our trip to Vegas & the RR. However, if you are as clumsy & slow as I am trying to text, the party would be over before I could have any fun.
How about offering some examples of what you would have tweeted the last time you attended a party if that was allowed.

Well slick, that is why phones are not allowed.
1. They have cameras in them these days and 99.9% of real swingers do not want their photo taken at a swingers party.
2. Swinging is not a spectator event and no one wants to be "reported" on.
Swingers know these things as they know that cheaters are not swingers.
There won't be any posts about what someone would be "tweeting" if they where at the Rooster, Swingers know better.
